Hidden Wonder

Hidden Wonder is a limited exhibition about light pollution at the Adler Planetarium. Thanks to light pollution, you probably can’t see Chicago’s night sky. When you go out in the city at night, you look up and you strain to see even the brightest stars. If you were wondering about the magnitude of the difference, the Adler says that people in a dark sky can see about 4,500 stars without optical aids. In Chicago the figure plunges to 35.
